The Powell River Studio Tour is a free, self-guided tour of artists and artisans from Lang Bay to Lund. Visitors get to see the diversity and excellence of the art community in the Powell River region and, as an added bonus, the spectacular natural beauty that can be enjoyed along the way.
The 2016 Tour will showcase 31 artists in 20 locations. A free, colour brochure and map will be available in late July at local stores or it can be downloaded from here as a PDF file in June. Alternately, you can use the customized Google map on your cell phone or connected tablet.
First organized in 2004 by well-known artist, Alfred Muma, the Tour has continued as a popular annual event thanks to the effort of a few volunteers who believe our art community should be promoted. The committee members are Alfred Muma, Richard Benson and Vi Isaac with Nicole Narbonne taking responsibility for the brochure and Norah LeClare taking responsibility for the website and Facebook .
New to the Tour in 2016
The studio tour abounds in artistic talent with many artists who have participated since the Tour started in 2004. However, it is always good to see new faces with their own unique talent added to the mix.
