In Powell River, BC, Vi is enjoying local subjects for working in pencils, pens, acrylics, watercolors and oils. She attempts to capture nuances, moods and images in nature. Her work is available as originals, prints and notecards.

Vi studied painting and drawing with Mark Gwynn in Port Hardy, BC. In the Crowsnest Pass, AB, she painted en plein air. In Alberta’s Peace Country she studied watercolors with Marjorie Henn. With Ursula Medley she painted with oils in Tuscany, Italy. In December, 2007 she painted in New Zealand with David Taylor, an Australian watercolorist. In May of this year she worked in Paris “Putting People into Paintings” with New York artist, Phil Levine.

Vi is a member of the Artique Cooperative, the Malaspina Art Society and the Studio Tour. She teaches watercolors at Artique as well as private lessons in her studio. She also welcomes commissions.
