Lyn uses hand built, wheel-thrown and altered form techniques. She makes a wide range of pottery from functional and decorative bowls and platters to wall art. A common theme in many of her pieces is a touch of the coast. She uses stamped and rolled impressions of shells and seaweed and depictions of herons, salmon and dolphins.
Lyn also works with "smoke-fired pottery". Carved, textured, and burnished clay is subjected to a wood firing which imparts unpredictable smoke patterns and darkens the clay to a rich reddish brown colour. It is warm and smooth to the touch without the addition of glaze.
